Vyplnění online dotazníku není povinné. V letadle před přistáním je možné vyplnit obdobný formulář v tištěné podobě. Vyplněním online verze je urychlen proces na letišti.

• V Japonsku je povinné biometrické ověření — otisky prstů (ukazováčky obou rukou) a fotografie obličeje.
• Předložíte pas (a případně vízum / povolení pobytu), imigrační úředník zkontroluje účel a délku pobytu.
• Po úspěšné kontrole dostanete do cestovního pasu razítko „Landing Permission“ (povolení vstupu s délkou pobytu).
  • Pokud jste obdrželi do cestovního pasu dlouhodobé vízum, může vám být vydána také pobytová karta (Residence Card) přímo na letišti. To však záleží na typu dlouhodobého víza a případně také letišti, kterým vstoupíte do Japonska.

Pokud vezete s sebou zboží, které může podléhat clu, dárky, hotovost nad určitou hranici nebo jiné deklarovatelné předměty, musíte vyplnit celní prohlášení (declaration form) a projít celní kontrolou.

Arrival procedures can be completed online via the Visit Japan Web.
Filling out the online form is not mandatory. A similar paper form can be filled out on the plane before landing. Completing the online version speeds up the process at the airport.

• In Japan, biometric verification is mandatory — fingerprints (index fingers of both hands) and a facial photograph.
• The travellers present their passport (and, if applicable, a visa/residence permit) to the immigration officer, who checks the purpose and duration of their stay.
• After a successful inspection, they will receive a “Landing Permission” stamp in their passport (entry permission with the permitted length of stay).
  • If you have a long-term visa in your passport, you may also be issued a Residence Card directly at the airport. However, this depends on the type of long-term visa and on the airport.

If you are bringing goods that may be subject to customs duties, gifts, cash above a certain limit, or any other items that must be declared, you are required to complete a customs declaration form and go through customs inspection.
